Sr. Mixed Methods UX Researcher- Contract

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

It is a new procurement platform that provides a unified entry point to the buying process for all. We launched the Alpha release in 2021 and are currently working on iterating and adding functionality for subsequent releases. In 2023, we are focused on a key release. We need a Sr Mixed-Methods UX Researcher L4 – L5 who will work closely with UX teammates to focus on both strategic and tactical research. 

  • Looking for someone who’s passionate about testing and measurement, and comfortable with large-scale surveys. 
  • Comfortable partnering with other UX teammates: Core UX research team, UXDs, UXWs, and other UXRs. 
  • Comfortable with stakeholders: XFN business SMEs, Product Managers, and Business and UX Leadership teammates. 
  • Types of projects/initiatives (in order of priority): 
    • Measurement strategy and engagement with partners on measurement 
      • Set up and launch surveys to capture UX metrics (e.g. CSAT, HaTS, etc) 
      • Analyze all survey work and provide consumable readouts to stakeholders 
      • Develop an insights tracker to drive and show impactful user research 
      • Refresh the FW UX metrics dashboard 
    • Eval testing (doesn’t happen all the time but prob once a quarter) 
      • Conduct concepting, evaluative, usability, & A/B testing 
    • Persona development 
      • Launch large-scale survey work to focus on persona segmentation 

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You must meet these minimum qualifications to apply for this job 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience. Or a master’s degree in the formerly mentioned areas plus at least one year of relevant work experience. 
  • Strong experience with mixed methods, quantitative survey analysis. 
  • 5 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar. 
  • Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys (large and small scale), etc.). 
  • Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting. 
  • Comfort working in a regulated, ambiguous, and rapidly changing product development environment 
  • Experience setting up, synthesizing, and sharing out research insights. 
  • Experience communicating with research participants and with different types of stakeholders or audiences. 
  • Establish a valid, reliable, & consistent method to collect user feedback (e.g., CSAT) across Finance Works (via surveys, HaTS, etc.) so feedback is easy to understand and translate into actions/next steps. 
  • Experience with mixed methods, leaning to focus on quantitative UX methodologist. 

Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experience may be equally valuable. 

  • Experience with inferential statistics (e.g., t-test, ANOVA, regression, etc.) and analysis tools for large datasets (e.g., R experience strongly preferred). 
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: survey panels, longitudinal research, database management, experiment design, predictive modeling text analytics. 
  • Experience creating a UX measurement baseline &/or program.
