Our client is an innovative, growing, and trusted architectural and engineering consulting firm, that has provided clients with award-winning projects and inspired solutions since 1922. They are currently seeking an ambitious, solutions-driven Civil Engineer with a background in Transportation and Bridge Engineering.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional solid engineering skills. Perform engineering designs in a given discipline area to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design. This position may serve as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on moderate-sized, well-defined projects and/or Senior-Technical Engineer within the area of expertise on others’ projects. Implementing assigned projects and phases of larger projects independently utilizing well-developed skills, techniques, and methodology.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, required
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience, required
  • Licensed professional engineer in the state you work in
  • Roadway and drainage (storm sewer, culverts, and water quality) design, preferred
  • MicroStation and Geopak experience, required
  • AutoCad, Civil 3D, and Open Roads experience a plus
  • Excellent relationship-building and communications skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design and construction plans for highway and roadway improvements
  • Implements assigned tasks independently utilizing proven skills, techniques, and methods
  • Familiar with industry standards of design (ODOT, OTIC, etc.)
  • Develop unit price cost estimates for routine projects for review by Project Manager
  • Perform tasks within budget, scope, and schedule
  • Perform QA/QC review of design calculations or drawings
  • Actively participate in the project development process
