Data Scientist- Remote (EU Time Zone)
DATA SCIENTIST – Remote EU - Preference is given to Germany and England candidates
Our Client, a fast-growing technology startup in the e-commerce space, is seeking a hands-on Data Scientist to join their team. This is a wonderful opportunity to establish and grow the Data Science / Analytics practice and make a lasting impact on the organization. You will be working closely with the Founder / CEO and Engineering Team. This is a remote position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish the infrastructure, processes, and overall strategy for the Data Science practice
- Identify relevant data sources and approaches to utilize data sets to achieve business goals
- Serve as lead Data Scientist / Analyst to connect insights directly to product strategy, development, and optimization
- Develop close collaboration with business stakeholders, including engineering, product, and leadership, with the goal of helping align through data-driven insights
- Manage vendors, partners, and other third parties
Must Haves:
- This is a hands-on role – you must be willing to perform all activities related to data engineering and analytics
- 7+ years’ experience
- Proven experience with building a Data Science practice
- Proven experience (case studies) with delivering measurable business impact through analytics
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling
- Experience with mainstream tools, such as Excel, Azure, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
- Professional certifications
- At least some experience working with digital (SaaS) and/or e-commerce products/platforms
Nice to Have:
- Experience growing and leading an analytics team
- Experience with start-ups
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary $90,000 – $120,000 USD depending on experience
