Account Supervisor- Research Dept.

Exciting opportunity to foster existing and create new client relationships.

Our Client, a leading global communications consultant who helps companies craft their messaging and brand identity is looking for an Account Supervisor within the Research Department to maintain and grow client relationships and act as a client facing-account manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate resources to meet client needs
  • Maintain and growing client relationships, serve as the “point person” for assigned accounts
  • Enhance account management processes (e.g. budgeting, billing, study management, etc.)
  • Develop and mentor less experienced account managers by providing them with opportunities to learn and grow
  • Maintain flexibility to help the team in a variety of roles, with the attitude of doing “whatever it takes” to get the job done
  • Assist the research department with effective project management and resource coordination
  • Develop, foster, and maintain client relationships within the research department
  • Oversee project teams to ensure high-quality, on-time, and within-budget deliverables are delivered using client and department processes.
  • Provide effective account management and/or identify strategic opportunities for improving client business to increase client confidence
  • Manage project budgets and overall account financials
  • Grow business within current clients by identifying new sales opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of account manager or supervisor experience, leading and delivering client-side or agency research engagements; Prior agency or consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in the area of Market Research, User Research, User Experience, HCI, Psychology, or similar; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and/or supervise all the activity needed by internal resources to deliver effective client solutions on time and on budget
  • Demonstrated ability to engender client loyalty
  • A previous background in managing project reporting and financials for accounts and projects
  • Prior experience conducting or executing a variety of market and user research methodologies such as usability testing, workflow research, persona research, IDIs, surveys, in-store and ethnographic research, CJM, JTBD, and more; Prior hands-on experience conducting international, in-person, and remote both B2C and B2B research desired
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to increase business from existing clients through the identification of new sales opportunities
  • Expertise in UX and CX methodologies and approaches
  • Advanced ability to interface directly with clients and present solutions, proposals, and strategy, based on demonstrated expertise and market knowledge
